What will explaining everything word by word add to me? Nothing. Why don’t you give the overall explanation of the sentence, the full meaning of the sentence? Why don’t you explain the overall meaning of the sentence? You explain it word by word. This doesn’t add anything to me. Instead of explaining word by word, explain the grammar of the sentence and the overall meaning of the sentence. By giving the meanings of each word one by one, am I supposed to piece together the meaning of the sentence like a puzzle? How am I supposed to learn? What’s the logic behind this? There’s no meaning of the sentence, no grammar, no explanation. How can I figure out the meaning of the sentence just from the individual word meanings?
