Movie not showing in local player
I drag and drop a local version of the wolf’s call.mkv
When i use vlc on my own computer it works fine, but on the local player (i cancel loading any subtitles) it just shows me a black screen. However i can hear the audio just fine.
also any word on when we would be able to use the neural subtitles for this kind of format instead of needing to upload our own file

This is from when i tried to import a subtitle file. I was able to see the subtitles, although their timing was off, but still could not see the video

You can also use ffmpeg to compress it potentially, but that a bit more technical

Just adding a comment to track on this as well
After some debugging following things were noticed
on Edge:
Audio worked fine
Video was black screen
neural subtitles did not seem to load
srt file loaded
on chrome:
Audio did not work (was silent)
video played without issue
neural subtitles did not seem to load
srt file was not tested
Machine was windows 10 desktop pc.
file was a .mkv file. Other notes. Normal windows “Media Player” can’t run the file as it says its missing codecs. However VLC can run the file with no issue

I tested the file on https://simplevideoplayer.com/screen and there was also no audio.
So it seems the file is corrupted … Can you try with another video file ?
